AV is a vegan restaurant serving up beautiful one-bite plates. Having to start with a very nondescript name, “AV,” my strategy was to express the vegan nature of the restaurant within the mark.
I arrived at this typography solution that incorporates leaves. The lush leafy greens bring an organic flow and life to the otherwise geometric letterforms, to better appeal to audiences being conscious about health and what food they put in their bodies.
Other visual elements were developed; a stacked version of the logo and a repeat pattern.
With mobile applications in mind (like Instagram avatars and websites on mobile view), a simplified version of the leafy AV was also created.
